SNP Marker Effects for Brown SwissCalculated April 2013The absolute value of the marker effects for each SNP included in the genomic evaluations, are shown below. Markers on the same chromsomes are plotted in the same color, and larger versions of each plot may be obtained by clicking on the thumbnail image or the trait name. Marker effects are useful for identifying which SNP have large effects on a trait. For example, there is a marker on chromosome 14 that is in close linkage with DGAT1 in Holsteins and Jerseys.
