5.6 Release Parameters

A set of so-called release parameters is provided for tracking release details and providing support information to users. You should not need to modify these parameters unless you are using a version of BESTPRED to which you have made modifications. If parms-onscreen is set to 1 then a banner with version and contact information will be printed to STDOUT.

The release parameters affect only the banner printed to the screen; they do not affect any BESTPRED calculations.
